Gina draws drifting, smiling people. When asked who the people are, she will quickly identify herself and her friends, and sometimes her many imaginary husbands and wives. Her figures seem to float in their own world. Sometimes she will continue to draw a figure’s hair until it becomes a dense thicket, larger than the person. These drawings have a surprising depth and power.
