Deborah Cooper is a natural storyteller who expresses herself freely and imaginatively, often launching into a story as her work unfolds. Her drawings are full of wide-eyed characters that are sometimes animals, sometimes people, and sometimes something in-between, and appear to be the inhabitants of a world of their own. Deborah is quite confident as a painter, often working directly on the substrate without a preliminary sketch.
